AUKUS Public Forum to be Held at IODS Perth

As AUKUS progresses towards realization, it marks a significant milestone for the UK, Australia, and the US as they navigate the implications for each country and their respective defense industries.

For the first time in history, the Chiefs of Navy for the AUKUS countries will convene at a public forum during the Indian Ocean Defense & Security Show (IODS) in Perth, scheduled from July 24 - 26, 2024.

This forum will focus on discussions regarding AUKUS Pillars 1 & 2, including but not limited to the Nuclear Submarine program. Moreover, it will serve as a platform for AUKUS experts to delve into the opportunities emerging as these nations progress.

Kallman Worldwide will serve as the US agent for IODS 2024 and will be orchestrating the inaugural USA Partnership Pavilion at the event.

Theme: "Where AUKUS meets the Quad."

  • This theme acknowledges Western Australia's strategic position at the crossroads of two crucial global defense and security dialogues.
  • The conference will underscore Western Australia's pivotal role in the AUKUS strategy, while also highlighting the Quad, signifying Australia's collaboration with India, Japan, and the United States. The Quad represents a diplomatic network dedicated to fostering an open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

  • The three-day event is expected to draw key figures in defense and security.

    • Vice Admiral Mark Hammond, Chief of Navy
    • Vice Admiral Johnathon Mead, Director General of the Australian Submarine Agency
