BIS Updates Steel & Aluminum Tariff Coverage

The Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has added 407 Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) codes to the list of products treated as steel or aluminum derivative articles under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. These products will now be subject to the Section 232 tariffs for the value of their steel or aluminum content, while non-steel and non-aluminum components will remain subject to applicable reciprocal or other duties.
