USTR Delays China Tariff Hikes

The US Trade Representative’s Office said it is delaying a planned increase in Section 301 tariffs on electric vehicles, batteries and other products from China that were to take effect on August 1.

USTR said it needs more time to review the over 1,100 comments received on the proposed tariff hikes. A final decision is expected later in August, which any immediate tariff increases taking effect two weeks after than.
