Senate GOP Bill a Catch All for China Hawks

A group of 11 Senate Republicans have introduced a bill to address percieved weaknesses in US readiness for strategic competition with China.

"Despite the significant threat China poses to the United States, the U.S. Congress has failed to enact legislation in a number of crucial areas that would set up the United States, its allies, and partners for success,” Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho) said.
