USTR Warns Rising Chinese Content Threatens USMCA Auto Supply Chains

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement has strengthened North America’s automotive sector and spurred hundreds of billions of dollars in U.S. investment, but warned that increasing foreign content in regional vehicle production will be a central issue in the ongoing review of the trade pact.
