Former Rep. Maloney Tapped for OECD

President Biden announced his intent to nominate former Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, to be the US representative Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Mr. Maloney was elected five times to represent New York’s 18th congressional district in the House, serving from 2013 to 2023.

While in Congress, he chaired both the House Transportation Committee’s Coast Guard and maritime transportation subcommittee and the Agriculture Committee’s commodity markets, digital assets and rural development subcommittee. He also served as a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and was elected by his colleagues to House leadership in 2020.

Prior to serving in Congress, Mr. Maloney served as President Clinton's White House Staff Secretary.
