US Trade Representative Katherine Tai announced Nov. 2 that Cara Morrow is taking on the position of senior advisor, overseeing close coordination with the Office of Western Hemisphere, the Office of Europe and the Middle East, the Office of Labor Affairs and the Office of Environment and Natural Resources.
Ms. Morrow has spent nearly the entirety of her career in federal government service, beginning as an intern in USTR’s Office of Europe and the Middle East in the summer of 2001.
She worked for the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration before rejoining USTR, where she served in various roles over 14 years, including Director for Tariff Affairs, Director for Regional Trade Agreements, Deputy Assistant USTR for WTO and Multilateral Affair, and Acting Assistant USTR for WTO and Multilateral Affairs.
Most recently, she served as director of public policy back at the ITA.
